Heather Hopkins
Born in Ohio and raised in California, I have always been shaped by a sense of curiosity and resilience. One of the most formative experiences of my life came as a college student at UC Merced, where I had the opportunity to work with the engineering firm building the campus. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for how technical expertise and human connection intersect to create meaningful impact. I carry this perspective with me to this day, whether it is designing systems, building relationships, or supporting leaders in their growth.
With a background in engineering and business, I bring a unique blend of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills to my work. My academic foundation includes degrees in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, as well as certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Human Resources from Cornell University, and Belbin Team Coaching. These experiences have equipped me to serve leaders and organizations with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and results.
Professionally, I have had the privilege of leading initiatives that emphasize both operational excellence and the importance of fostering strong, people-centered teams. I have worked on multi-million-dollar projects and continuous improvement initiatives, consistently focusing on building systems and teams that excel and achieve their objectives. As a Leadership Performance Advisor at Wingspan Performance, I partner with clients to create cultures of growth and resilience. I enjoy helping leaders align their vision with actionable strategies and building the connections needed to bring those visions to life.
When I am not working, I enjoy podcasting, exploring new ideas, and spending time with my family in South Carolina. My journey—from witnessing the development of a university campus as a young engineer to working with leaders today—has been rooted in a passion for bridging the technical and human sides of leadership. I look forward to bringing that same dedication to every client I serve.
