Leadership Transformation with Wingspan Performance®

Before I started working with Wingspan Performance®, I was in a leadership position where things were moving, and not at the pace everyone wanted. The company called me in to help a department that had been struggling for some time. They were running into problems with communication, accountability, and lack of clarity. The previous leader was staying on board, and the results just weren’t there to count on.

I was asked to step in and ‘fix’ the situation. Instead of jumping into problem-solving mode, I realized that I’d take a different approach. One of the most challenging moments came when it was time to have a difficult conversation with the department leader. I knew the team wasn’t thriving because the leader wasn’t holding them accountable. After that conversation, I helped create a plan that focused on clear roles, ownership, and direct communication.

The result? The team began thriving. They were no longer stuck in a cycle of confusion and inefficiency. They had clarity, ownership, and the tools to succeed. The department turned around, and within months, we were hitting all our targets and exceeding expectations. This was a pivotal moment for me.
